Any idea what devices would offer this smooth writing feel? When I write notes I prefer a very smooth mechanical pencil and you can pretty much always find me with a pilot g2 because I love how smooth the writing is with them. Do any of these devices make it easier to write smaller like you normally would in a notebook? - Quick erasing is important to me, I believe being able to just flip the stylus over and erase like a normal pencil would make me much more likely to keep using the device regularly - I’m not planning on using the device to read or edit PDFs, I plan on using my laptop or printing for that and then using the e-ink device to take notes as needed - In terms of the writing experience I haven’t found too many great explanations for how each device writes other than “feels like writing on paper”. I usually end up writing larger on digital devices so I’m concerned about have a 1000 page notebook because of my writing style.

I have always preferred a physical book to an e-reader so not a major necessity - I have yet to see anyone write full pages of notes on any of these devices, similar to how you would write in the lines of a notebook to conserve space. I would like to be able to transfer my notes to my laptop to refer back to them later - Being able to search within my notes would be a huge plus, both on the device, but also once they are transferred elsewhere - If there is a lack of a search feature, I would at least like ease of use within the device to flip through the notebook quickly and easily find what I’m searching for (I’m assuming some of this will be based on my organization, but speed of device and system is also important) - An e-reader for books (such as the kindle app) would be a plus, but I’m not sure how much I would actually use the device to read. Here are my wants, needs, concerns, and questions: I would love to be able to use the device for taking notes in lectures as I prefer handwritten notes over typed notes because organization is very important to me from the get go.
I am a notetaker by nature, I make lists for everything, write down thoughts, and am currently looking into going back to school to get my masters degree, most likely in education and to receive my teaching license. I am primarily looking for a notebook replacement and note-taking device to go along with my MacBook. Here is what I plan on using my device for: I believe I have narrowed down my decision to either the rM2 or the A5x, however I’m open to other options if you have used other e-ink devices and would suggest something better suited for my needs I have spent the past week watching videos and reading about all of the tablets, but still haven’t found the answers to all of my questions. I just discovered the world of e-ink tablets and digital note taking and I’m now determined to find the perfect fit for me and what I’m trying to use it for
